News NOTICE TO BIDDERS Tuesday, June 21, 2016 NOTICE TO BIDDERS Sealed bids will be received by Near Westside Neighborhood Assoc., Inc. (NWNA) at 353 Davis St. / Elmira, NY 14901 until 2:00PM local time on Tuesday, June 21st, at which time all bids will be opened and publicly read aloud. Bids may be mailed to NWNA at 353 Davis St. / Elmira, NY 14901 in advance of the due date or brought to the bid opening. All bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes clearly marked with the Bidder’s name and RICHARDSON-KENNEDY BID. Submit one (1) original set of bid documents and two (2) copies. In general the work includes roofing, limited masonry, limited rough and finish carpentry, demolition of additions, asbestos abatement and related site restoration. The RICHARDSON-KENNEDY PRESERVATION PROJECT – PHASE I bid documents are available for purchase and shipping at cost from Plan & Print Systems, Syracuse, NY (315-437-5111) and for review online at http://www.planandprint.com/ in the PlanWell. A pre-bid meeting will be held at 359 Church Street at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, June 7th. Attendance is highly recommended, but not mandatory. If needed, an additional pre-bid meeting will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, June 14th. A 5% Bid Security will be required with the bid. NWNA reserves the right to require and pay the cost of 100% Payment and Performance Bonds for the successful Bidder. Mandated wage rates do not apply. Strict MWBE participation goals do apply. Refer to the Instructions to Bidders for additional requirements. This building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and this project is funded in part by a grant administered by the NYS Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation through Title 9 of the Environmental Protection Act of 1993.
